I am 5’1 230lb and purchased a size 18 (normally I am a size16) with any formal dress you should go up one size. I am 37 years old and have a very large bust size and a booty and this dress fit me perfectly. The material is nice and the lace is beautiful. It wasn’t itchy or looked like it was cheaply made. Well worth the money and arrived on time. I wore it to my father’s funeral service and received many compliments on how beautiful I looked. I would just suggest that you wear spanx or a girdle to keep any lumps or bumps smooth so that it can make the dress a perfect fit. I did have one on but I could have used a tighter one.
